We are delighted to welcome the signing of defender Liam Fitzpatrick, who joins the Swansway Stadium from recently promoted 1874 Northwich.
Fitzpatrick, 25 years old, has made 77 appearances for 1874 who he joined in 2024, scoring 13 goals and playing in numerous positions in that time, ending with promotion back to the NPL West after their playoff final victory against rivals Northwich Victoria.
He has proved a fan’s favourite at all his previous clubs, which have included Sandbach United, with his directness, versatility and all round game which has earned plenty of attention from numerous clubs.
The second summer signing expressed his delight in joining, saying:
“I’m absolutely buzzing to have signed for Nantwich. Myself and the management have all spoken over the last few weeks, and from that very first conversation I was impressed with everything that was laid out for me.
I can’t wait to get started now and become part of the club. The ambition, the vision and the plans for the future made it an easy decision. I’m looking forward to meeting everyone involved, especially the fans and getting out on the pitch and giving everything I’ve got.

I know he’s always been a popular player wherever he’s been and he can push at least one or two leagues higher in my view over the next few years.
