Nantwich Town Football Club are delighted to confirm that its community football teams are to return to the Weaver Stadium from Monday 13th July.
The Dabbers Community football boasts 40 teams from boys and girls, men’s and women’s, veterans and walking football.
The club’s disability sides will also return with the club having completed its COVID-19 compliance. The young players have really set the example over the lockdown period; posting pictures, videos and quizzes to keep their spirits high.
Club coaches have conducted zoom training sessions so that the players’ progress has continued at home. Parents have been patient and supportive throughout what has been a difficult financial time for the club, and for that, we are extremely grateful, which is reflected by the efforts made to return to football.
To this end, all community football in July is free of charge to all players.
You don’t need to do anything, and we will recommence standing orders by liaising directly with parents and players in August. Following on from the excellent recent progress the player registration evening is now planned for early in August.
The club is also very proud of its NHS workers and key staff.
We are also excited to confirm we are forming new under 7 teams, whilst the new under 9 and under 11 girls teams are currently recruiting.
Please call Lyndon Wain on 07810 388679 or email [email protected] if you are interested in joining a Nantwich Town community football team.
The Dabbers’ Women’s team also have their first 11v11 side competing in the Cheshire Women’s League.
