Nantwich Town Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of Crewe Alexandra youngster Luke Offord on a loan until January 21st. The youngster graduated from the famous Alex academy in the summer of 2018.

Luke is confident anywhere across the back four or in central midfield and has continued his positive progression with the development of Dave Artell’s side, who currently sit in the Sky Bet League Two play-0ff places. During the 2018-19 campaign, the Alex snapped him up to a two-year contract with the option of a further two years after the Alex management side spotted great potential in the versatile Offord.

Manager Dave Cooke said the following:

“We are pleased to bring in Luke, he will bolster our defence.

“Luke had a successful loan spell with Witton Albion towards the end of last season, so he knows the league already.

I would like to thank Dave Artell and Crewe Alexandra for allowing Luke to come to Nantwich.”

Luke goes straight into the squad for tomorrow’s game against Buxton, where the Dabbers will look to return to winning ways after last week’s defeat to Morpeth Town.

The Dabbers host the Bucks in BetVictor Northern Premier Division action, and you can watch the men in green at the Weaver Stadium. Admission is priced at £11 for adults, £8 for concessions and £3 for U16s.

Furthermore, the Nantwich Town Independent Supporters Association (NTISA) will be hosting their annual Christmas hamper raffle. Make sure you buy a ticket for the half-time draw to help raise money for Nantwich food bank.
