Dabbers women dominate game for away league victory
Nantwich Town FC Women beat Congleton Town Ladies 1-0 in the Premier Division of the Cheshire Women’s & Youth Football League at Congleton High School on Sunday 28th January 2024.
The Dabbers goal scorer was Keane Harrison.
Nantwich Town FC Women starting XI: 1. K. Townsend, 2. H. Knight, 3. N. Walker, 4. K. Green, 5. F. Chaffey-Green, 6. M. O’Connor (captain), 7. M. Rowley, 8. P. Smith, 9. K. Harrison, 10. A. Heywood, 11. J. Buckley-Ratcliff. Substitutes: 12. R. Davies, 14. D. Reeder, 15. L. Bulkeley, 16. E. Macdonald, 17. M. Hocknell.
The win moves the Dabbers into fourth place in the table on 13 points after 3 wins, 4 draws and 4 losses.
Manager Dan Mellor said: “Only 1 loss in 10 now and whilst we’re not quite hitting top gear in terms of scoring goals the resilience and belief in this group is something else. Coming off the back of 4 tough away games in a row unbeaten leads us very nicely into 5 games at home to finish the season.”
