After our excellent unbeaten run came to an end last weekend, the Dabbers look to keep the strong home form intact with a match against Scarborough Athletic at the Optimum Pay Stadium this Saturday (3pm kick-off).

Scar Tissue

The away side are in extremely ominous form. They have lost only once in 2022, and that was on New Year’s Day to South Shields. They are up to 16 games without defeat now in all competitions, carrying them up to 4th in the Northern Premier League and looking well placed to secure a play-off spot.

And it’s been their stinginess at the back that has been the bedrock of this run, conceding more than 1 goal only twice this year, however if you take a snapshot of the last 6 league games of the two sides, the Dabbers have a point more, 13 to 12.

Last Time Out

Quite simply a day to forget in November, a 3-0 defeat to 10 players in Yorkshire is all that needs to be said. See below for the highlights from that one.

Players to Watch

Scarborough are a team who spread the goals around, no one in their squad has reached double figures in the league so far. So let’s instead focus on that defence, and Ashley Jackson in particular, the left-back has started every one of this 16-game unbeaten run and is one of those under-the-radar consistent figures that every promotion-seeking team needs.
