Nantwich Town are pleased to announce that striker Dan Cockerline has extended his contract until 2023 with the option of a further year.

Cockerline joined the Dabbers in September 2021 from AFC Liverpool, and made an instant impact when he scored the winning goal on his debut against Grantham Town as The Dabbers ran out 1-0 winners at The Meres

Since then, Dan has scored 10 goals for the club making him the clubs top scorer for the season. The best of his ten goals include a brace in our 3-2 win at National League side Altrincham in the Second Round of the Cheshire Senior Cup. He also scored twice as The Dabbers ran out 2-1 winners at Morpeth which ended the hosts 18 match unbeaten streak.

After committing his future to the Dabbers, Cockerline said “I’m delighted to commit my future to Nantwich. I’ve throughly enjoyed my time here right from the off”

“Everyone at the club took to me straight away from the lads, staff, volunteers and supporters which has allowed me to thoroughly enjoy my football and hit the ground running. I feel like I’ve improved week on week since arriving back in September and hope to continue making an impact on and off the pitch”

“Really looking forward to what’s to come here for myself and for the team”

Dan and his teammates will be looking to make it five home wins in a row tomorrow as The Dabbers host Scarborough Athletic at The Optimum Pay Stadium. Tickets for the fixture are available here: http://bit.ly/3Nqkjnn
