Nantwich Town are delighted to announce the signing of defender Harry Davis from Northwich Victoria.
Harry is of course best known for his spell at Crewe Alex, where he made over 200 appearances between 2009/10 and 2016/2017 and won the League 2 play-offs and Football League Trophy.
Very early in that spell, he had a brief youth loan at the Dabbers in 2010, making 2 appearances.
After Crewe, his other clubs have included St. Mirren, Grimsby, Morecambe, Scunthorpe and AFC Fylde.
Harry’s return also continues the Davis legacy at Nantwich, with his dad Steve a legend of the club as player and manager.
On signing for Nantwich, Harry said:
“I’m delighted to be here. It’s a club I know well and I’ve got a good connection with Luke who’s been really good to me in the past. I’ve got really good memories of watching my dad play for the club and then going on to be manager at Jackson Avenue. It was a great time for the club and now I want to try and play a part in helping the club be better on and off the pitch.”
And Head Coach Marc Feighery said:
“I’m really pleased to welcome a player of Harry’s qualities to the Dabbers. He comes from a footballing family who know how to win, and what it takes to be successful.
We have worked hard this summer to recruit players with the right mentality and work ethic, Harry has proven throughout his career that he has both of these, alongside his leadership and infectious character within the dressing room. Adding Harry to an already strong defensive group will add healthy competition which is important to us going forward.”
