Nantwich Town Women are delighted to announce the signing of former Crewe Alex striker Amanda Fallon.
A prolific goalscorer for Crewe over the last decade, Fallon actually scored against Nantwich for the ‘Crewe Alex Legends’ team that played against Nantwich on Saturday.
Amanda said:
“I’m really happy to be signing for Nantwich Town, I feel it’s come at the right time for me in my career. The set up here is fantastic, it’s a place I feel like I can really enjoy my football again and I’m confident I can score a lot of goals for the team.
I’ve had several conversations with Dan about the ambitions of the team and I’m excited to play a part in the team’s success. I’m looking forward to training with the girls and hope I can pass down my experience to some of the younger players coming through.”
Manager Dan Mellor said:
“I’m so happy to have finally been able to bring Amanda to the club, she’s someone that needs no introduction, she’s a top top player and I’m delighted that she has decided that her future lies here with us. It speaks volumes that she rejected several teams in higher tiers to come here as she believes in our project and our ambitions. She joins a group that is full of talent and drive and I’m sure she will enjoy playing with her new teammates.
Amanda can play in multiple positions across the front line, she has great pace, technique and in my opinion, is the best finisher in the county. I think she will be a real fans favourite and I’m looking forward to seeing her link up with the team during pre season.”
