Nantwich Town are pleased to welcome the signing of defender Josh McWilliams who joins from Stoke City on a work experience loan.
McWilliams, 17 years old, joined Stoke this summer from Aston Villa, and is a big, strong & athletic defender who will add to options over the remainder of the month initially.
Manager Luke Goddard said:
“After losing Tom (Graves) we needed to move quickly and Josh was available with a good reputation at Stoke. It follows the same pattern when we fetched Tom in, and we will look to help Josh gain valuable experience whilst with us. A big thank you to Jack Higgins at Stoke City; it’s another club we are pleased to be working with as we continue to build relationships for the better long term also.
With numerous disruptions such as injuries like many clubs seem to be facing at this moment in time it’s just something we are dealing with and we are actively looking at the options short, medium and long term.”
