Nantwich Town are pleased to announce the signing of full back Aidan Roxburgh.
Dabbers fans will remember the 26-year-old from his previous spell at the club in the 2022/23 season, where after an initial loan from Altrincham he came back again towards the end of that season, making 9 appearances in total.
Since then, he has played for Workington, Bury, Bootle and Irlam, for whom he played and scored in their recent Manchester Premier Cup final victory.
Mananger Jon Moran said:
“As a club we have worked really hard to get Aidan over the line. While we know he had an underlying love for Nantwich, we also know he found a really good home last year to support his football, which was going to take some serious convincing to sway him from. But we have been persistent, because Aidan is someone I fully believe in, someone who bleeds green and wants success just as much as all of us.
I have always been a massive fan of Aidan, not just as a player, but as a person and that’s something I value a whole lot more than just quality. Aidan needs a home that will continue to support him, push him and develop him and he knows he will get that at Nantwich, especially under myself. We have all seen the development our players have seen at this club and I can’t wait to watch Aidan marauding up that wing, getting better and better, week by week.”
Welcome back to the Dabbers, Aidy!
