Nantwich Town Women are pleased to announce the signing of Teagan Sorokan.
Returning to football after a lengthy spell with injury, Teagan has previously played for Harrogate Town and York City.
Teagan said:
“I’m really looking forward to this year at Nantwich after taking 18 months off due to injury. Preseason has gotten off to a great start with a high intensity and competitiveness I was missing away from football. The staff and players have been so welcoming and I’m excited to help continue building a successful culture at the club.
There’s a great mix of experience and youth in the team. I hope to contribute my defensive abilities, passing and playing out from the back taken from my time at various UK clubs and the NCAA in America.”
Manager Dan Mellor said:
“We’re all delighted that Teagan has committed to the club for the season ahead. She has experience of playing in the 3rd tier of women’s football here in the UK with several high profile clubs as well as back home in Canada and that’s shown in the sessions she’s been with us for, she’s looked sharp and we could see immediately that she can be a real leader on the pitch with how she plays.
Teagan’s signing further demonstrates what we’re building here at Nantwich, we’re ambitious and players want to play here, it’s really exciting and we can’t wait to see her make her debut in Sundays game!”
That game on Sunday that Dan mentioned is a friendly at the Swansway Stadium against Airbus Broughton Women; it kicks off at 2pm and entry is free as well as the bar being open.
