Nantwich Town can confirm defender Tom Graves has returned to parent club Crewe Alex following the completion of his initial one-month work experience loan.
The young defender made 7 appearances, scoring one goal and gaining valuable experience across the whole back line in his short period with the Dabbers.
He is set to be included in Crewe’s EFL Trophy fixture this evening at home to Aston Villa U21s.
Manager Luke Goddard said:
“As with these loans it’s all about experience and development. Gravesy has been excellent; at just 17 years old he has shown the potential he has, matched with a faultless attitude and work ethic to succeed. We of course would’ve liked to extend it but he has a great opportunity hopefully tonight back with Crewe and we will monitor in the near future.
We thank everyone at Crewe Alex for trusting us to help in his experience and I know it will play a huge part in his short- and long-term development. It’s another good example how Nantwich Town can be a perfect club in providing opportunities to many of these talented youngsters whether on loan or our home-grown talent.”
Good luck Tom!
