For this Saturday’s game away to South Shields, Nantwich Town can clarify that tickets will not be available for coach travel.
The away coach will only be carrying players, staff, club media and board directors.
The primary reason for this is to reduce the number of seats taken up and therefore increase the comfort of the players on one of the longest away trips of the season.
The travel over the long journeys is crucial, not only for preparation for that day but also recovery for the next game just 48 hours later on Monday. It also gives us the facility for players to eat and drink properly on the coach.
We totally appreciate all the support that the fans give both home and away and this is something we have not taken lightly but with the squad size and the quick turnaround of games, we have to do everything we can to give the players the best chance to perform as well as they can, which is paramount.
