Nantwich Town U18’s host West Didsbury & Chorlton U18’s in the FA Youth Cup Preliminary Round this evening. The Dabbers Under 18’s manager Peter Griffiths shares his thoughts on his sides season so far, and also his thoughts going into tonight game.
“We have had a good pre-season and the lads have done well. We have had 8 new signings join the squad, so it’s taken a little time for the team to gel with each other and for the boys to get used what we as the management staff expect from them. Unfortunately, our first league game didn’t go our way and we let three points slip to Stalybridge Celtic but I’m confident the boys will take it in their stride and bounce back.
Having been youth team manager a few years back I know how much fun it can be for the lads to have a good run in this competition. We are expecting a tough game against West Didsbury but it’s one we’re all looking forward too. It’d be great for the team to see some support tomorrow. Hope to see you all there”
