Nantwich Town Women are pleased to announce the signing of defender Bridie Harding from Lethbridge Pronghorns in Canada.
Originally from Stoke, the 6ft 1 defender has spent the last 4 years in Canada on a scholarship and has only recently returned to the UK.
Bridie said:
“Following my recent return from playing football at university level in Canada, I wanted to join a team that still competes at a good standard with a competitive team spirit! Both the coaching staff and the players have built an extremely welcoming environment and I am really looking forward to seeing what role I can play within the squad in the upcoming season.”
Manager Dan Mellor said:
“Bridie came to our open sessions over the summer after her return from Canada and looked really sharp, it was clear after the session that we both thought we could do something so I’m really happy to bring her into what is developing into a great squad of players.
Bridie displays really good technical ability and her range of passing was unbelievable and I think she can add another dimension to our play. She had her first training session with us this week and she fitted in straight away with us which was really pleasing.”
Welcome to the Dabbers, Bridie!
