Nantwich Town announce Dabbers in the Community plans

NTFC are pleased to officially launch “Dabbers in the Community”, a fund-raising initiative to raise money to replace our rear 3G pitch plus add other facilities like a covered seating area for spectators to watch the game out of the rain, changing rooms, classrooms and a café. Plus, if we raise enough, an additional 5-a-side pitch or padel courts!

Our official ambassador is the one and only David Platt – ex-England captain – please do watch our video below if you are young enough not to know who he is! Many thanks to David for the provision of Dabbers in the Community fundraising kits and supporting our launch night.

We really have a wonderful opportunity in that The Football Foundation see Nantwich Town FC as one of the leading community based football organisation in the North West and will match fund every pound we contribute by 2-3 times and help us build one of the leading football facilities in the area to serve the community and our 70+ and growing teams for the next generation….but we need your help!

A minimum of £100k needs to be raised before the project can start up and then the matched funding will kick in – with an ultimate target of £300k – and work on the new 3G pitch with brand new fencing can begin. This will mean that NTFC will have a state of the art stadium pitch and brand new rear 3G pitch which can be used all day and every day. We need both pitches to house our boys, girls, men’s, women’s, partially sighted, pan disability, veterans and walking football teams and our current rear pitch urgently needs replacing as it is 20 years old.

See our artist’s impressions of what your money would fund at the bottom of the page! Many thanks to Neil Barlow for his work on these.

What can you do?

You can simply donate to our Go Fund Me page here. Any donation large or small is appreciated and please do also ask any companies you work for (or know) to donate and we will be delighted to feature them on our social media pages to our 25,000 followers.

Aside individual donations, if every one of our football teams raised £3,000 we would achieve this target and beyond – so if you are a player or a parent or a coach in one of these teams, please do have a brainstorm and think of ways that you can help this great cause!

We have already raised £12,000 which is in a ring-fenced bank account due to great work from so many of our club’s staff and volunteers including a 3 Peaks challenge a bungee jump and Ben Adams (one of our community footballers who is 13 years old and a junior Dabber and who has run 100km in 1 month) as just some fantastic examples.

Dabbers in the Community! YOUR club, YOUR community – together we can raise funds for a brand new pitch with state-of-the-art facilities.

Finally, a huge thank you to Kim and her production team at Kollab Kreate who produced the below video for free to help launch Dabbers in the Community! Please check out their website https://www.kollabkreate.com/
