Nantwich Town FC Women continue pre-season winning run
Nantwich Town FC Women beat Congleton Town Ladies 7-0 in a pre-season friendly match at the Swansway Stadium on Sunday 18th August 2024.
The Dabbers goal scorers were Amanda Fallon (2), Jade Buckley-Ratcliff (4) and Ellie MacDonald.

Dan Mellor, Manager, Nantwich Town FC Women, speaking after the match said:
“Another solid performance and 90 minutes in the legs with no injuries so we’re really happy with that against a team we’re going to play in the league twice more this season.
“I said it last week but we’re learning to create more chances now and some of the patterns we’re working on in training are coming through into games and teams are really struggling to live with us in the final third.
“We’ve made some really important signings this summer and the team has stepped up and everyone was playing with smiles on their faces and that really makes a big difference.
“We have one more game next weekend before our FA Cup game at the start of September and we’ll work some more during the next few weeks to improve even more.”
The Dabbers Women’s remaining pre-season fixture is this Sunday 25th August (home, Llangefni).

The Dabbers women play in the Premier Division of the Cheshire Women’s & Youth Football League and will also be involved in both the FA Cup and the Cheshire FA Challenge Cup competitions. Last season was their most successful yet, recording their first-ever Cup Final and a top four League finish.
