Following Saturday’s brilliant win away at Morpeth, it’s another tough trip facing the Dabbers as we head for a Cheshire derby against Warrington Town on Tuesday night (7.45 kick-off).
Warr and Peace
Warrington are 7th but without a win in 5 games in the PitchingIn Northern Premier League, three of those were against fellow promotion chasers but 2 have been shock results, a 5-2 loss to Hyde and a 3-3 draw with basement side Grantham just last weekend.
But with just 4 points between 3rd and 7th in the league, and games in hand on the three teams above them, Warrington will be desperate to get back to winning ways on Tuesday.
Last Time Out
It finished 1-1 between the sides at the Optimum Pay Stadium in October, Joel Stair opening the scoring after keeper Dan Atherton made a big error. Jordan Buckley levelled things in the second half as it finished all square. Highlights from that are available below.
Players to Watch
In Buckley, Warrington have the joint top scorer in the league, 16 goals with none of them penalties, and 4 in his last 5.
Sean Williams is another danger, a goal scoring threat from midfield who tends not to miss penalties either.
Tickets are available online here or can be bought on the gate, priced at £11 for adults, £7 for concessions and £3 for under 16s when bought online (including booking fee) or a pound extra if bought on the gate.
