Games at this level don’t get much tougher than this, as this Saturday the Dabbers prepare to travel to league leaders South Shields (3pm kick-off)

Agents of Shields

South Shields hit the top of the PitchingIn Northern Premier after a massive 3-1 win over former leaders Matlock Town on Tuesday night. Although, their last four games have been loss/win/loss/win, so if that pattern continues then it could be a great day for the Dabbers.

Even with those recent defeats to Mickleover and Morpeth, Shields have still only conceded 27 goals in 30 games, the joint best defensive record in the division.

Last Time Out

Naturally, a lot of supporters minds will be drawn to our last visit to the North East and that astonishing 4-1 win, but our previous meeting this season in October was also a strong performance, a creditable goalless draw at a time when Shields were in extremely good form. Highlights from that one are available below.

Players to Watch

Sam Hodgson up top and Jack Bodenham in midfield have been the men most amongst the goals since Kevin Phillips has joined as manager and will be looking to add to their tallies as they seek to maintain their positions at the top of the tree.
