Radcliffe are the Dabbers’ next opponents as we head to Greater Manchester this Saturday (3pm kick-off), in what’s set to be a great match up between two in-form sides.
Rad Boy Chiller Cliffe
It’s a strong run for the home side at the moment, Radcliffe are unbeaten in 8 in all competitions since losing to Warrington Town on 1st October. This spell has included wins over Stalybridge, Bamber Bridge and Guiseley, as well as four 1-1 draws. But those Bamber and Guiseley wins have come in their last 2 matches, a sign that they’re finding a way to turn those frustrating one points into three.
This form has lifted Radcliffe into the play-offs, 5th on 30 points with a game in hand on the 3 teams immediately ahead of them in the PitchingIn Northern Premier League.
Last Time Out
Radcliffe did the double over the Dabbers last season, the most recent a 3-2 home loss last December. Nantwich also failed to win either fixture in the 19/20 season against them too, which was Radcliffe’s first back in the Northern Premier League. So a win against Saturday’s opponents is long overdue.
Players to Watch
Radcliffe’s top scorer this season is the familiar name of Luca Navarro, with 5 goals. Another name to look out for is that of Jem Karacan. Formerly the captain of Turkey’s under 21 side, Karacan went on to play in the Premier League and Championship for Reading for 7 years, as well as 2 years at Turkish giants Galatasaray. Not known for his goalscoring, he grabbed 2 in Radcliffe’s last match against Guiseley.
