The Dabbers look to keep the unbeaten run going as Witton Albion make the short trip across Cheshire on Easter Monday (3pm kick-off).
Witton in the Stars
Ben Harrison looks to have gotten a decent tune out of his Witton side in 2026 as they have climbed up to 11th from what had been a bit of a precarious position towards the end of 2025. Around the turn of February and March they won 4 games on the bounce against Vauxhall, Bootle, Wythenshawe Town and Clitheroe.
Since then it’s been a little bit patchier. They lost 3-2 at home to Shifnal to a last minute goal, went to Darlaston and won 3-0 as everyone is doing these days, then were beaten 3-1 at home by Stalybridge on Friday, albeit they are the form side in the division at the moment.
For both teams it’s been a tale of steady progress since the reverse game on Boxing Day; on that day it was 13th v 15th, on Monday it will be 9th v 11th.
Also worth noting is that Witton have won their last 3 games away from home, meaning their home and away records are identical; 7 wins, 5 draws and 7 defeats.
Last Time We Met
A day to forget on Boxing Day as Witton won out 4-1 in what turned out to be Jon Moran’s penultimate game as Nantwich manager. 4 different goalscorers for Witton with Alex Panter the man who had made it 1-1 at half time before the home side pulled away with 3 goals in 16 minutes.
Players to Watch
3 Witton players have reached double figures of goals in the league in Joe Duckworth (15), Freddy Garbutt (14) and Tom Hoyle (10). Garbutt has scored in Witton’s last 4 games in a row so is the one to watch out of that group.
As always there’s always a couple of ex-Dabbers in there, with Cameron Terry, James Lawrie and Jacob Hamman among the names who have once worn the green shirt.
