The Dabbers are back at the Swansway for the final time this month as we host Trafford FC on Saturday (3pm kick-off).
Traff-er Than The Rest
It’s been a tough old season for Trafford FC; they’ve been bottom of the table for the majority of it. They are 11 points from safety and have played 2 games more than the side just outside the relegation zone, with 12 games left to play.
With the situation getting more desperate, their results have swung wildly in recent weeks as they’ve tried to pick up points. At the end of January, they lost 5-0 away at Sporting Khalsa but responded by beating Atherton 4-1 and Clitheroe 3-0 at home in consecutive games.
Then after a goalless draw with Mossley came a chastening day at Bury. A red card in the 7th minute for Trafford was the worst possible start and the Shakers took full advantage, winning 9-0 in the end for only the second 9-goal margin win in the entire 4 NPL divisions this season.
They haven’t played since that result 2 weeks ago after their game at home to Lower Breck was called off last weekend, so they will be absolutely determined to give a better account of themselves here.

Players to Watch
Charlie Frost and Brad Byrne both scored in those back-to-back wins at the end of January.
They’ve made a couple of signings since the Bury game. Goalkeeper Harvey Bardsley has come in on loan from Blackpool and forward Kyle Worsley has come in from 1874 Northwich after a decent goalscoring record in the Midland Premier League at Step 5 this season.

This is especially important at the moment as some new traffic lights are being installed in the Kingsbourne estate, with 4-way temporary lights at the junction into the stadium.
