The Dabbers will be looking to make it five games unbeaten this evening as they host Grantham Town in the Northern Premier League Premier Division.

The Dabbers are coming off the back of a 0-0 draw at Gainsborough Trinity which saw them keep their fourth clean sheet in as many games.

THE OPPOSITION

The Gingerbreads currently sit at the bottom of the league on 27 points and they have a mountain to climb if they want to stay up at as they are 12 points below Gainsborough Trinity who occupy 20th position. In their last six games they have picked up eight points after beating Ashton United, Morpeth and getting a point against Matlock Town and more recently Stalybridge Celtic who they drew 0-0 against on Saturday.

ONE TO WATCH

Grantham have recent signed former football league forward Ricky Miller who scored four times against Ashton United last month. He also scored 45 times in 46 games for Dover Athletic in their 2016/17 National League campaign. However, thankfully for The Dabbers he is recovering from an ankle injury so may not feature for the Gingerbreads.

Lee Shaw is our one to watch for tonight’s game, he made his 150th appearance for Grantham in their 0-0 draw with Stalybridge Celtic on Saturday, he has scored 76 goals in that time. He levelled the scoring for Grantham in the last meeting between the two sides in November.

LAST TIME WE MET

The sides have already met three times this season with The Dabbers winning all three of the previous encounters. The last meeting was in November when the sides met in the FA Trophy First Round. The Dabbers opened the scoring through Sean Cooke’s penalty, before Lee Shaw fired home to level the scoring in the 21st minute. The winner came in the 66th minute when a freak OG from Henry Eze put the Dabbers into the next round
