After a first home win since September last Saturday, the Dabbers are back in action again at the Swansway Stadium on Tuesday night (7.45pm kick-off) when we host Gainsborough Trinity.
Gain of Thrones
Gainsborough Trinity are having a strong season, they have lost only twice this season in the league, the joint lowest amount of losses with South Shields, but Shields have played 3 games fewer. They have also scored the joint most goals and conceded the second fewest of any team in the division, leading to a goal difference 8 better than anyone else.
In recent games, after a run of 3 without a win that saw them knocked out of the FA Trophy by Lancaster, they have won their last 3, beating Marine, Belper and Ashton for the loss of only 1 goal. They are 2nd in the league, 2 points behind leaders Hyde but just 3 points ahead of 9th place in that helter skelter top half of the PitchingIn Northern Premier League table.
Last Time Out
Our last meeting was a forgettable 0-0 draw in Gainsborough, so instead let’s look back to our last home meeting, from January, where Troy Bourne and Dan Cockerline’s goals secured a 2-1 comeback victory at the Swansway Stadium, highlights below.
Players to Watch
Tuesday night will see a Cheshire return for Clayton Donaldson. 130 games and 49 goals for Crewe Alex, now 38 years old he is still prolific in the right setting. He is 3rd top scorer in the division on 12 goals and got a hat trick recently against Belper. Also in the goals recently has been Curtis Durose, who has 3 in his last 3.
Match Information
Tickets are available online here, or on the gate (ignore the TBC date on the website, it is definitely 15th November 7.45pm kick-off).
