The Dabbers will be looking to return to winning ways this Saturday at 3.00pm but it looks like it will be a stern test against an in-form Bamber Bridge side.
Bamber Bridge over troubled water?
Our visitors have hit a rich vein of form after their opening day defeat to Buxton, winning their following three games and scoring 12 goals in the process. In fact, their 5-1 win over Gainsborough saw five different goalscorers, suggesting they are capable of goals from multiple areas of the pitch. On Tuesday night, they came from a goal down to win 3-1 at Morpeth.
Last Time Out
Nantwich won out the last time we played Bamber Bridge in February 2020 at the Optimum Pay Stadium. David Webb and Joel Stair had given the Dabbers a two-goal lead before Bamber Bridge dramatically came back to level on 85 minutes. But Webb was on hand again to win it a minute from time after a great run from Joe Mwasile. The previous meeting that season had finished 2-2 away in Lancashire so another goal-laden match could be on the cards. Highlights of that 3-2 win can be watched below:
Player to Watch
Isaac Sinclair has scored three goals so far this season so is definitely one to watch as a main goalscoring threat. But also look out for Mark Yeates who is extremely dangerous from set pieces, just coming off the back of scoring a free-kick against Morpeth. A wildcard in all of this though is the fact that all teams will also be playing this Bank Holiday Monday, so you could expect to see some squad rotation with two matches in 48 hours to contend with.
