The Dabbers’ final game of a busy October sees us travel to Mossley on Saturday (3pm kick-off).
It Moss-ley Love
Mossley have won just 2 of their last 10 games in all competitions. However, those wins did come back-to-back only a couple of weeks ago, when they beat Trafford away 3-0 and Witton at home 1-0. Since then, they have lost to Ashton in the Manchester Premier Cup and drawn 1-1 with both Chasetown and Wythenshawe Town in the league.
Their home form has far outstripped their away form, with 3 wins from 6 at Seel Park. That has been enough to leave them in 10th in what is a ridiculously packed mid-table in the NPL West, that currently sees just 4 points between 7th and 18th.
2 of Mossley’s last 3 goals have been scored in the 94th minute or later, so concentration right to the end will be key for the Dabbers, especially if it’s a close game.

We played Mossley at a windy Swansway Stadium in late March, where the Dabbers won out 2-1 thanks to second half goals from Nathan Okome and Kai Evans. Highlights below.
Players to Watch
The standout goalscorer for Mossley is Mason Fawns. He has scored in the Lillywhites’ last 4 league games in a row to take his season total to 7. Four of those 7 have been penalties so the Dabbers would be especially well advised to not concede one on Saturday.
A more familiar name is that of Eric Yahaya. Dabbers fans may remember him from last season, where he played 5 times and scored once. He has 3 in 21 games for Mossley so far this campaign, 21 being the joint most appearances of any Mossley player along with Fawns, Luke Barlow and Finley Madigan.

Tickets for this one are on the gate only at £10 for adults, £6 for concessions, £3 for 16-17s and £1 for under 16s.
Driving from Nantwich takes about an hour and 10 minutes via M6, M56 and M60. It is possible to get there by train in about an hour and a half from Crewe, it just requires a change at Manchester Picadilly.
