After success in the FA Cup, the Dabbers turn attention to the FA Trophy as the First Qualifying Round sees us travelling to Liversedge.
The Sedge of Glory
Like the Dabbers, Liversedge were relegated from the NPL Premier last season, Sedge going into the NPL East Division. They’ve made a solid if unspectacular start to their campaign, getting 6 points from 6 games and sitting 13th in the league.
After back-to-back 1-0 defeats to Brighouse and Bridlington, last time out Liversedge defeated early league leaders Hebburn Town 2-0 in a sign that perhaps they are starting to find some form.
However, they have failed to score in five of their seven games in all competitions, only finding the net in that Hebburn win and a 5-0 win over bottom of the league Newton Aycliffe.

Players to Watch
Kurt Harris scored against the Dabbers in that February game and is still with Sedge, finding the net in that big win over Newton Aycliffe.
He hasn’t been a part of a matchday squad for a few weeks, but there were plenty of eyebrows raised when news came out that Ross McCormack was joining the club as a player and director of football. He made a couple of on pitch appearances in August. 120 goals in the Championship for teams like Leeds and Fulham and 13 caps for Scotland are the headline figures of a fine career.
