It’s a first Bank Holiday trip of the season as the Dabbers prepare to make the short trip to Townfield to face 1874 Northwich.
North(wich)ern Soul
It’s been a tough start to the season for the ’74, yet to win and sitting 3rd from bottom, albeit that’s only 2 places lower than the Dabbers who have played a game fewer.
A pair of draws with Stalybridge and Chasetown have been bookended by a 6-2 defeat to Kidsgrove and a 1-0 last minute loss to Runcorn on Saturday.
Last Time Out
The Dabbers and 1874 Northwich have only met once since their formation in 2012, and that was a 3-1 win for the Dabbers in February 2017 in the Cheshire Senior Cup. Phil Parkinson’s side won courtesy of goals from Ben Harrison (2) and Ryan Brooke. You can see the goals below.
Players to Watch
1874’s three goalscorers this term have been Jamie Nicholson, Jack Irlam and Fenton Green. There is also the brilliantly named Gabriel Mooney-Munoz who most recently played for Winsford and has also played in Spain, and is a part of their forward line.
