Nantwich Town are delighted to announce midfielder Joe Piggott has agreed a one-year deal to remain at the Swansway Stadium.

Piggott, 26 years old, returned to the Dabbers for the final month of the season after leaving Bury FC and made an immediate impact in his second stint with the club, taking his total appearances so far up to 15, with 3 assists and 1 goal.

His presence and quality in his now preferred midfield role was there for all to see, proving a popular character in the dressing room with his leadership qualities.

Joe had this to say:

“I’m delighted to sign again for Nantwich Town, I loved my time here last year and looking forward to having a successful year this season to push the club forward again.”

Manager Luke Goddard said:

“It was essential we got Pigs here for a full season. He made a huge impact in the final month, not just what he gives on the pitch but the way he led off the field too. He wants to win, he’s a local lad and with the ability everyone knows he can play much higher, but he’s very much found a place here where I think he feels wanted and ultimately a big part of our core group.

He was also first to commit weeks back which said it all for me, his desire to be here and put this football club back competing for promotions and trophies.”
