James Caton signs for the Dabbers

Nantwich Town are delighted to announce the signing of James Caton on a free transfer.

The 28-year-old winger has had EFL experience with Blackpool, Accrington, Shrewsbury and Mansfield during his career.

In more recent years, James has been around a few clubs at the higher levels of non-league, from Southport to Darlington to 2 spells at Dover Athletic.

In the 22/23 season, he’d made 13 appearances for Hereford in National League North and cup competitions, scoring twice.

Speaking about James’ signing, Head Coach Gary Taylor-Fletcher said:

James is someone I’ve known for a long time and I have tried to sign on numerous occasions at Bangor.

“He is an exciting winger who has an eye for goal and will be a great addition to the squad both myself and Ritchie have put together.

“He is a player who should be playing at a higher level, like the majority of our squad, and wants to join the club with the positivity we have all created.”

Welcome to the Dabbers, James! To potentially see him in action for the first time this Saturday, you can buy tickets for our home match against FC United of Manchester by clicking here.
