Hayden Moore joins Dabbers as Head of Recruitment

Nantwich Town are pleased to announce Hayden Moore as the club’s Head of Recruitment for 2026/27 as he joins the Swansway Stadium as part of Luke Goddard’s backroom staff.

Moore, 28 years old, has spent the past few seasons working with numerous football clubs as well as his own independent Insight Performance Group. Last campaign he worked with Goddard at Northwich Victoria before helping the Dabbers in the past six months in the background.

Already gaining a strong reputation of identifying emerging talent to progress through the non-league pyramid, it adds a further dimension to the staff structure which is essential for the long-term sustainability and ambition of the football club.

Manager Luke Goddard said:

“In an industry now where recruitment is tougher than ever with the demands financially it’s essential Nantwich Town regain the expertise of casting our net when it comes to recruitment to discover emerging talent but also the correct profiles, whether experienced or unproven, which will play a leading role in making this football club consistently successful.

Hayden has a growing reputation of finding the talent; I’ve never seen someone work as hard as he does with the time he gives to watching games, and I know myself the effort and cost this often has with also the tireless hours on the phone, but along with the management team we will have more power to ensure we continue to attract and recruit the right profiles in an ever growing competitive market.”

Hayden Moore on joining:

“I’m excited about the opportunity to help build a young, energetic team that can get the fans buzzing and play a part in pushing Nantwich Town back up the pyramid. Having worked with Luke before, I understand how he operates and the type of players he values. Our thinking aligns closely when it comes to recruitment, so when he asked me to come in, I was delighted to team up again.

My scouting approach is heavily focused on player profiles, potential, and long-term development working with the management team on the outline player profile they want. One of the most rewarding parts of the role is seeing players you’ve backed go on and play at higher levels. There’s no better feeling than uncovering a hidden gem – someone who may have gone under the radar – and watching them develop and succeed.

An example with Northwich was when I found a player who couldn’t gain game time at step 6 and we gave him the chance/platform to showcase his talent, where he’s since earned an opportunity with a step 2 club this summer, something I’m really proud of.

That’s the exactly the type of impact I want to bring to Nantwich Town – identifying players with genuine potential, strengthening the squad, and helping the Dabbers continue to progress with the aim to move back up to the next level.”
