Two of our very own Nantwich Town players, Dani and Kirsty Fisher-Sherratt are going to be trekking across the Sahara Desert in October to raise money for St. Luke’s Hospice.
The trek will include a week long trek across the Desert, through scorching daytime temperatures and freezing night-time temperatures. The trek will take the ladies through the many cultures that the Sahara has to offer, including an insight into the Berber lifestyle!
Kirsty’s Auntie Jac sadly passed away after being cared for by St. Lukes in July 2021. Since then, Dani and Kirsty have taken part in many fundraising events in order to raise as much money for the fantastic charity as possible.
Along with their personal fundraising, Nantwich Town Ladies have chosen St. Lukes Hospice as their club charity for the 2022/2023 season. The ladies have so far raised £1,241 by bucket collections and also their famous fire walk!!
As a club we would like to wish Dani and Kirsty the best of luck in their Sahara Trek!
