Nantwich Town FC Women will be led into the new season with a familiar face at the helm, as Manager Dan Mellor has signed on for his fourth year in charge.

Dan shared his excitement, saying:

“I’m really happy to be heading into my 4th season with this incredible team. Last year’s promotion was a massive achievement and a real testament to the hard work, belief, and togetherness in this squad.

“The group we’ve built is strong, hungry, and full of quality, I genuinely believe we can have another positive season. I can’t wait to get going in tier 6 and see what this next chapter brings, together we can make it another special year.”

Since then, the team have also announced a number of players that are staying, including Megan Ragdale, Jo Case, Poppy Smith and Jade Buckley-Ratcliff, with more to follow. At time of writing there have also been 5 new signings.

The Dabbers enter the 2025/26 campaign on a high after a history-making season that saw them storm to the Cheshire Women’s & Youth Football League Premier Division title in style.

Formed in 2020, the team has quickly made a name for itself, winning 15 out of 16 matches last season and finishing an impressive nine points clear at the top.

Their success didn’t stop there — they also enjoyed a memorable run in the Women’s FA Cup, reaching the First Round Proper for the first time, and made it to the Semi-Finals of the CWYFL Challenge Cup.

Now stepping up to Tier 6 regional football in the North West Women’s Regional League – Division One South, the squad is fired up for what promises to be a thrilling 2025/26 season. Their new league rivals include AFC Crewe, Altrincham, Chester, Ellesmere Port Town, Macclesfield FC, Manchester Laces, Runcorn Linnets, Warrington Town, and Wirral Phoenix.
