Nantwich Women are pleased to announce the signing of Katie Naylor.
Naylor, who can play at centre back or defensive midfield, previously played in the youth systems of Manchester City and Stoke City, most recently playing for the University of Leeds side.
Katie said:
“I’m really excited to come back to club football with Nantwich. After 3 years at university, Nantwich is the perfect place for me, competing at a very good standard paired with a great set of girls and coaches. The setup is immense and I cannot wait to get up and running this season!”
And manager Dan Mellor said:
“I’m delighted to welcome Katie to the club, she’s a versatile player who can play across the back line and in midfield, she has good physical presence but technically she stands out and can carry the ball exceptionally well.
Katie comes in having had an excellent football education coming through Man City and Stoke’s youth systems and we’re looking forwards to her next chapter here with the Dabbers.”
