Nantwich Town Women are pleased to announce the signing of former Airbus UK Broughton captain Beth Davies.
The Dabbers Women’s first signing is the 27-year old, subject to international clearance.
Beth said:
“After being involved in a couple of training sessions I was instantly impressed with the standard of football and organisation of the club as a whole. I want to help build on the success they had last season.
Knowing a couple of the girls there, they couldn’t recommend the set up more and everyone has made me feel very much apart of the club already. It’s a very exciting time to be involved with Nantwich Town FC Women and I can’t wait for the season to start.”
Manager Dan Mellor, who was recently confirmed as staying as Nantwich Women’s manager for the new season, said:
“I first became aware of Beth during a friendly we played a week before our cup final against Airbus, she was the captain and she lead her team very well, her communication and defensive work was excellent and I knew right then that I wanted to bring her into the team.
I’m delighted to have been able to add another leader into the team and I’m sure she will fit in well and the girls will benefit from her talent on the pitch.”
