Dabbers fans are being urged to turn out in force this Sunday as Nantwich Town FC Women aim to seal the league title in a dramatic final-day showdown.
The Dabbers host Manchester Laces FC at the Swansway Stadium on Sunday 29th March (2pm kick-off), knowing that victory will crown them champions of the North West Women’s Regional League Division One South.
With just one game left in the 2025/26 season, the stakes couldn’t be higher. Only Chester FC Women, sitting two points behind in second place, can deny Nantwich the title.
Entry is priced at £5 for adults and £3 for concessions, with supporters able to pay by cash or card at the gate.
Manager Dan Mellor says his side are fully focused on the task ahead:
“We’ve put ourselves in a fantastic position going into the final game, but the message to the players has been the same all season, focus on the performance and nothing else.
“This is our first season at this level so to be competing at the top end is a real credit to the group and the work they’ve put in week in, week out. They’ve earned the opportunity to take it into the final game.
“We know it will be a tough test against Manchester Laces, but it’s one we’re really looking forward to, especially being at home.
“We’re hoping to get a big crowd down to support the team. The backing we’ve had this season has been brilliant and if we can get even more people there next weekend, it can make a real difference for the players.
“It’s a great occasion for the club and the local community and hopefully we can put in a performance they can be proud of.”
