As 2025 draws to a close, Nantwich Town FC Women can reflect on a year defined by success, consistency and growing ambition, while setting their sights firmly on what lies ahead in 2026.
Manager Dan Mellor summed up the significance of the past 12 months as the Dabbers continue to build on last season’s title-winning campaign:
“Becoming champions last season was a huge moment for the club and ending 2025 top of the league shows the belief and hunger within this group. Credit must go to the players and staff for their commitment and standards throughout the year.
“Thank you as well to our sponsors and supporters for the continued backing it doesn’t go unnoticed and makes a real difference, see you all in 2026!”
The year ended in emphatic fashion in early December, with Nantwich securing a composed 2–0 away victory over Macclesfield FC Women at the Leasing.com Stadium. The result further strengthened their grip on the top spot in the North West Women’s Regional League Division One South and underlined their credentials as genuine promotion contenders.
At the end of 2025, Nantwich Town FC Women sit proudly at the summit with 32 points from 13 matches, boasting a record of ten wins, two draws and just one defeat, alongside an eye-catching goal difference of +39.
The Dabbers first match of 2026 is versus Fleetwood Town Wrens Ladies in the League Plate Trophy at the Swansway Stadium on Sunday 11th January (2pm kick-off). Their first League match of the year is at home to Macclesfield FC Women on Sunday 25th January (2pm kick-off).

Away from matchdays, Nantwich Town FC Women continue to champion growth in the women’s game locally. Women’s Recreational Football sessions take place every Tuesday from 8–9pm on the Swansway Stadium pitch and are open to all women aged 16 and over.
