As you will be aware the exciting project to convert the Swansway main stadium pitch to a “state of the art” 3G facility is nearing completion and once finalised it will enhance match day experiences for both players and supporters and just as importantly provide a first class accredited facility for our many other players and teams.
Whilst the contractors have made amazing progress and are currently on schedule to complete their works by mid-August, as the pitch will then need certificating and approval from the FA and League, after consultations with the league, it was decided to seek a reversal of this fixture with Vauxhall Motors, who unfortunately were unable to accommodate us, so the game will now be played at Leek Town with an 8pm Kick Off and we are grateful to our friends at Leek for agreeing to host us and if all continues to go well, our first home game on the new pitch will be when we welcome Clitheroe on Saturday 26th August at 3pm, which promises to be a special day.
We apologise for the short term inconvenience that this may cause, but I am sure that you will agree, it’s a small price to pay for the improved experience that everyone will soon be able to share in moving forward and hopefully few games, if any, will be lost to inclement weather this season as well.
All NTFC season tickets will be valid for the game at Leek Town and general admission tickets can be purchased via the online ticketing system in the normal way, as you would for a normal Dabbers Home game and there will also be admission on the evening of the game, though to avoid delays on the evening, we would strongly advise purchasing them in advance via the online ticketing service and if you need help with this, please visit the club store during opening hours.
We apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause and we appreciate your support and understanding, hopefully you are all looking forward to what promises to be an exciting season!
