This Sunday sees an exciting and unprecedented match up in the final of the Crewe and District FA Youth Challenge Cup as Nantwich Town under 18s play against Nantwich Town under 17s.
The game will be at the Swansway Stadium this Sunday, the 21st April, with a 2pm kick-off, and admission is FREE.
Football Development Officer Lyndon Wain said:
“A fantastic reflection of everyone’s hard work that for the first time the Crewe and District Cup Final is an all Nantwich game. The club is fortunate to have so many talented footballers. It would be great to see as many supporters down to the game, admittance is FREE.”

This season’s “Crewe & District FA Youth Challenge Cup” will see Nantwich Town U18’s play Nantwich Town U17’s. It’s a great reflection of the quality in both teams to progress to this stage of the cup, hopefully delivering a good game for this Sunday.
The U17’s team have this season made a big jump up from the North Staffs League to the North West Youth Alliance Development League. This has been a real challenge for the team, with it being a significant jump in standard, but with them learning from each game, quality coaching working on focus areas, continually evolving their game & with great determination from the lads, huge improvements have been seen, with the team winning recent games. The team also contains several high performing U16’s who are playing up a year. Next year will see the team progress to the NWYA Premier League.
The U18s are in their second season in the North West Youth Alliance after gaining the club Premier League status for the first time in over a decade. The quality and team ethic of the group in this period has been outstanding, with wins over established clubs with full time scholars along the way. The team have shown great passion for playing for Nantwich and always done the club proud against any opposition. They look forward to some big games and a good finish to the 23/24 season.
Both teams faced each other in a separate cup earlier in the year with the U18’s coming out 2-0 winners. Let’s hope Sunday’s game is also a closely fought game.
