We are pleased to announce that Connor Heath has put pen to paper to sign a new contract to keep him at the club until 2022.

There is also the option to extend his contract for another year at the end of this season

Connor joined the Dabbers from Crewe Alexandra at the beginning of the 2020/21 and impressed straight away with some excellent performances in Pre-Season

He took his good form into the season where he scored his first league for the Dabbers in our 3-0 victory against Stalybridge Celtic in our second game of the season.

The former Crewe man then won player of the month in October after some great performances where he was instrumental in The Dabbers attacking half. The 20 year old scored his second goal of the season in the trip to Scarborough Athletic. Three days later he scored what was one of the goals of the season at Warrington Town when he picked up the ball on the edge of his own box before running the length of the field, jumping over tackles and then firing low into the bottom left corner to top off an outstanding solo goal.

When Nantwich’s season was paused due to COVID-19, Connor went out on loan to National League North side Farsley Celtic where he was able to experience the higher levels of English football and also get some valuable minutes under his belt.

After a successful spell at The Citadel with Farsley Celtic.  Connor then went on loan again to Colwyn Bay, where he again was able to get some more game time whilst the Dabbers weren’t playing. Connor had another successful spell before returning to the Optimum Pay Stadium where he helped Nantwich reach the third round of the FA Trophy.

Despite Connor not playing many times for The Dabbers in his short spell with the club. He has already shown that he has bags of ability and we’re delighted to have him for another year.

Manager Dave Cooke is delighted to be able to keep Connor at the club “I am delighted to have Connor with us, He is still very much a young lad, so he is only going to get better which certainly benefits us. He’s a really great lad and he takes everything that we tell him on board. I am really looking forward to his future with us”
