The Dabbers’ Easter double header starts with an always tough trip to Mossley on Good Friday (3pm kick-off).
The 11 Mossley-teers
Mossley are on the joint best current unbeaten run in the division, along with Stalybridge. Since defeat to Avro on New Year’s Day, they haven’t lost, a run of 12 league games. That has featured 6 wins and 6 draws, as well as 5 clean sheets. At home, they are unbeaten in 7 and have only lost 3 times there all season, the joint lowest of any team.
Their last 3 games have seen wins over Stafford and Newcastle and a goalless draw away at Clitheroe last weekend. This run has lifted them to 11th in the table and 2 points behind the Dabbers. A weaker first half of the season has done for their chances of fighting for the play-offs, much like Nantwich. The difference for Mossley has been too many draws, at least 2 more than any other side in the league with 16. The Dabbers have had 6 draws, the joint lowest of any team.
Last Time We Met
Funnily enough, the reverse game between the 2 sides this season was a draw, 1-1 at the Swansway all the way back in August. Ben Greenop equalised with what turned out to be his only league goal in a Nantwich shirt. Highlights below.
The Dabbers have a loss and a draw from the last two trips to Seel Park, so will be looking to break that run if possible at the most scenic ground in the division.
Players to Watch
The man who scored the Mossley goal that day with a sweet strike was Reece Webb-Foster, who is the Lillywhites’ top scorer with 9 in the league.
Oumar Camara scored twice in the recent 3-2 win over Newcastle and has 7 in just 19 appearances for Mossley.
It’s also worth noting that they have had 2 red cards in their last 4 league games, so Callum Stringer may be back from suspension for this one after Mason Fawns recently returned from his own ban.

Tickets, on the gate only, are £12 for adults, £7 for concessions, £2 for children and U12s go free with a paying adult.
The game has been dubbed ‘George Milner Day’ in tribute to the Mossley and former Dabbers midfielder. He played in that reverse game in August, but not long after suffered a serious knee injury and was forced to retire from football aged just 27. We wish him the best and would ask Dabbers fans to keep an eye out in case there are any sort of collections for him.
Bank holiday options are limited so it’s probably car only to Tameside, with the M6, M60 and M56 the quickest route, although it could be quicker to get on the M6 at Holmes Chapel to avoid some of the usual Easter weekend traffic.
