Nantwich Town are delighted to welcome the signing of Joe Piggott following his departure from Bury FC before the transfer deadline.
Pigott, 26, is no stranger to the Dabbers, joining briefly in the 2023-24 season and making 8 appearances, scoring once, before he made a move to play in Australia with Victoria Premier League side Pascoe Vale. On returning to England he joined Atherton Collieries and most recently Bury FC.
Manager Luke Goddard said:
“We spoke to Joe a number of weeks back as he fitted the profile we were looking for to add further to the current group and we’re delighted to get him back through the door for the run in of games. His quality and presence will only enhance the squad which as we know has been in consistent form since the new year with myself and Marc keen to kick again to finish right amongst that top 8 come the end of April, the squad is frighteningly talented now in depth.
Joe is a local lad who, after my conversations, understood where we are at and our longer term ambitions also. We didn’t need too many more additions before the deadline so gaining the right individuals was essential and I know Joe will only be a positive addition to ensure we meet our targets come the end of this campaign.”
We are sure the Dabbers faithful will look forward to welcoming Joe back to the Swansway Stadium and he will be in contention for this weekend’s home fixture against Sporting Khalsa.
