Nantwich Town’s talented youngsters produced a dazzling display at the Swansway Stadium to book their place in the Third Round of the Cheshire FA U18 Youth Cup, sweeping aside Runcorn Town U18s with an emphatic 5–1 win on Sunday 12th October 2025.
From the first whistle, the young Dabbers were in full control, playing with confidence, energy, and style. Star striker Cole Bagnall led the charge with a brilliant hat-trick, while Kenzie Pickles added two fine goals to cap off a superb all-round team performance.
Manager Steve Newman, supported by Richard Townsend and Christopher Grimshaw, praised his side’s attitude and quality:
“It was a great job all round — the lads were excellent from start to finish,” said Newman. “We’ll enjoy this win, but focus quickly turns to the next challenge against Stalybridge Celtic in the Third Round.”
The Nantwich line-up featured: Louis Melling, Jake Cooper, Drew Sibbald, Daniel Millington, Charlie Grimshaw, Billy Newman, Kenzie Pickles, Joseph Townsend, Cole Bagnall, Jacob Hall, Malakai Thomas. Substitutes: Harry Edge, Giorgio Diaco, James Wale, Archie Pearce, Travis Smith.
Supporters enjoyed free admission, refreshments from The Tea Lounge and Dabbers Diner, and an open bar from midday — creating a lively community atmosphere that matched the team’s performance on the pitch.
