Malkin joined the Dabbers in the summer of 2018 from North-West Counties Division One side Cammell Laird, becoming manager Dave Cooke’s third signing of the summer.
The striker showed impressive form for the Camels in the 2017/18 season scoring 24 goals in a campaign that took the side to the league’s play-offs where they were beaten in the semi-finals by eventual winners Whitchurch Alport.
Son of former Tranmere striker Chris Malkin, Joe brings height and a natural eye for goal to the Dabbers, and showed it well in his first year with the club, as he netted 11 times and was voted the Northern Premier Division Young Player of the Year.
In December, he signed a two-year contract with the club, securing his immediate future to the Optimum Pay Stadium.
The 19/20 season saw him secure the club’s top scorer award in the truncated season with 13 goals and he has continued to be a fixture in the first team, recently returning from a serious hamstring injury.
