Biography

Joined the club before the start of the 2017/18 campaign from AFC Fylde for his second spell with the Dabbers having played for them in the 2012/13 season.

Began his career with Crewe Alexandra where he made a few first team appearances before spending time on loan with Chasetown and the Dabbers. Was released at the end of the 2011/12 season from Crewe and subsequently joined Nantwich on a permanent basis.

Moved to Fylde at the start of the 2013/14 season and helped them achieve promotion from the Evo-Stik Premier League.

Caspar made his 100th appearance for the Dabbers in 2017-18 away at Sandbach and also took over the captain’s armband in January after the departure of Sam Hall.

He committed to the Dabbers for the new 2018/19 campaign after an impressive 2017-18 with the club.

Though not normally known for goal-scoring ability, Caspar won The Emirates FA Cup Goal of the Round for the Second Round Qualifying stage after a stunning strike against Blyth Spartans at the Weaver Stadium in September 2018. This finish was also enough to win him the club’s Goal of the Season for 2018-19, a year where the midfielder really shone.

In 2019-20, Caspar put any doubts about his goalscoring abilities to bed as he enjoyed a prolific start to the campaign, including goals against Buxton, Scarborough Athletic and AFC Telford United. The skipper became only the third player in Nantwich Town history to lead the club in the FA Cup First Round Proper in the Dabbers’ 1-0 defeat to AFC Fylde.
