Nantwich will hoping for a return to winning ways after a loss and draw in their previous two games in the league. This weekend they will be hosting Hyde United in the BetVictor Northern Premier League.

Similarly to Nantwich, Hyde also come into the game failing to win in their last two games. A harsh 5-1 defeat at home to local rivals FC United of Manchester, was followed by another home disappointing result at home, losing 2-0 to Whitby Town. A victory for Hyde at the weekend would see The Tigers jump above Nantwich in the table, and could see them rise from 9th in the table up till 7th. This season on the road has seen them pick up five victories, two draws and six losses.

Our Last Meeting

The last time the two sides met came in September when Hyde came out the winners in a dominant display over the Dabbers. A frustrating evening for Nantwich saw them struggle to even get a foothold in the game, with a 2-0 victory for the Tigers being the result, goals coming from Huddersfield Town loanee Oran Thompson and also Jack Dyche.

Last Time Out

Nantwich’s last game saw them take on local side Winsford Saxons in the Crewe FA Challenge Cup. The Dabbers played a mix of first team, reserve and youth team players. A confident 6-0 victory with goals coming from Callum Saunders (3), full debutant Aaron Lomas, Callum Parker and an own goal made sure that Nantwich progressed into the future rounds of the cup.

The Dabbers’ last league game was the long trip away to Scarborough Athletic. A hard fought game saw Nantwich take a well earned 1-1 draw in windy conditions. A free-kick from Scarborough’s Ryan Watson gave them the lead in the first half, before Joe Mwasile produced an impressive scissor kick which gave Nantwich the equaliser mid-way through the second period.
