By Steve Sharman:
Today marks the 25th anniversary since the death of former striker Ryan Keen who tragically lost his life at the age of 20-years old.
Keen, who at the same time was a star centre-forward for the Dabbers, died in tragic circumstances on the 5th February 1994 and had earlier that day scored the winning goal at home to Glossop North End.
In his short time at the club he scored 11 times in 25 appearances including an impressive hat-trick against Blackpool Rovers.
Ryan had been in his prime as a footballer and will never be forgotten by those of us who were supporters, players and officials of the club on that day 25 years ago.
Our thoughts as always are with his Mum, Dad, Sister and the rest of his family and friends.« Back to all news
