Name: Sean Cooke
Former clubs: Crewe Alexandra, AFC Fylde, AFC Telford
Sean began his career at Crewe Alex, but after having trials at Blackburn and Wigan he moved to the Dabbers for the 2011/12 season. He left for AFC Fylde in 2013, where he won the NPL Premier Division Player of the Year award and subsequently joined AFC Telford, before being loaned back to AFC Fylde in the 2013/14 season.
He returned to Telford for the 2014/15 season and was loaned back to Nantwich in late February 2015, where he played a vital part in helping the Dabbers keep their NPL Premier Division status. He joined FC United at the start of the 2015/16 season, but after being released, he returned to the Dabbers under former boss Phil Parkinson.
Last season saw Cooke finish as the club’s top goalscorer as he finished the season with 21 in total. He also notched his 50th club goal away at Rushall Olympic. Despite suffering a knee injury during the final months of the season he was voted in the league’s team of the season.
