NEWS: Jamie Morgan named Player of the Year at 2018/19 awards night

Defender Jamie Morgan claimed three awards including the Player of the Year at the club’s annual awards evening at the Weaver Stadium on Thursday evening.

Morgan also picked up the Players’ Player and the Management Player of the season as the full-back was picked out as one of the star performers of the 2018/19 campaign.

Elsewhere, forward Joe Malkin won the Young Player of the Year and the NTISA Edencroft Player of the Season awards after a fantastic first season with the club.

The evening also saw captain Caspar Hughes win the Goal of the Season for his stunning effort against Blyth Spartans in the FA Cup back in September. Danny Glover won the Golden Moment of the Season for his hat-trick in the memorable 3-2 win away at Scarborough Athletic.

Callum Saunders was named the club’s top goalscorer following his 17 goals in his first campaign and Gaz Temmen was voted as the NTISA Fan of the Year.

First team coach Nigel Deeley also starred as he entertained the audience with a song dedicated to the staff, players and his fellow management team.

The club’s 2019/20 kit was revealed at the beginning of the evening and the start of a new partnership with FBT Sports who will supply the kit for the next three years.
