By Steve Sharman:
Club stalwart Albert Pye is set to be honoured for his service to the club after hitting 50 years of service for the club last year.
Albert, will be presented with his award at Tuesday’s home game against Sutton Coldfield by recently retired Operations Director of the Evo-Stik NPL and Board member of the Cheshire FA Alan Allcock.
Now a Director of the Nantwich Football Trust which owns the stadium freehold and a club Life Vice-President, Albert continues to help out wherever he can.
He has taken on many roles for the club during his time including chairman and more recently a match day host for visiting officials.
In this day and age, Albert’s devotion to a single football club is rare – if not unique.
Congratulations to Albert on receiving the award!
